The Superb fishing

The prized Chinook, noted for its size, fight, and taste, heads the list of most sought after salmon. We will prepare your catch for dinner, or get it ready for you to take it home or even assist you in releasing it for another day.

Beginning in March our guides follow Pacific Salmon, residents or transients, that are at various stages of their 2 to 7 year life cycles. using large covered boats, you will angle the "Inside Passage". The ride is smooth, the water is tame, and the convieniences are close at hand on Stuart Island. In addition to salmon fishing, bottom fish for lingcod and halibut.

The Scenery
To say the scenery is spectacular is an understatment. Towering peaks plummet into deep blue waters. There are unforgetable views of wildlife at every turn. Some of what you might see include: grizzly; black bears, deer, orcas, sea lions, dall's porpoises, harbor seals, star fish, eagles, glaciers, totally undisturbed inlets, and many other coastal animals.

Helicopter fly fishing
Yes we can offer you the opportunity to enjoy more spectacular fishing adventures when you choose to do some Helicopter Fly Fishing. Flyfish or spincast for numerous hookups with sea run cutthroat, dolly varden, char and the ocassional steelhead. 3 to 5 anglers trave a short distance from the lodge to numerous rivers and streams for a day they will not forget soon. Heli-fishing cost about $800 US per person per day.

The Accommodations
Cedar rooms feature spacious beds and bathrooms. Enjoy the hot tub or just sit by the firepit and sip wine. Eagles are your constant companions.

The Dining
We feature the cooking of Stuart island's most noted chef. A healthy breakfast is provided before you head out for the day. Light lunches are packed for you. Dinners are first rate with much freshly caught seafood served.

Salmon Enhancement Program Beginnining in August, we like to spearhead the recovery of giant Chinook Salmon on the Phillips River. This effort supports the neighboring fish hatchery and allows you to "put something back" into the B.C. ecosystem. The Phillips River area is home to grizzly bears, black bears, eagles, wolves, deer, elk, and moose. Truly the outdoor person's dream come true.

Adventure Tours
Whether you view the whales in a guide boat or hike many natural trails, the Stuart Island region will provide you all the wildlife adventure you want. help your guides as they harvest clams, oysters, crabs, prawns and mussels.
Try a 45 minute hike to Eagle Lake or take the full two-day climb to the top of nearby Mt. Estero. At 5,400 feet above sea level, the view is spectacular.
