Open from March through October we can accomodate up to 18
guests at a time. For the corporate get-togethers you can book the entire lodge
with as few as 10 guests. All guests arrive by seaplane from Seattle, Vancouver
or by water taxi from Campbell River B.C. You will be at the lodge by
noon.

The Superb fishing
The prized Chinook, noted for its size, fight, and taste, heads
the list of most sought after salmon. We will prepare your catch for dinner, or
get it ready for you to take it home or even assist you in releasing it for
another day.
Beginning in March our guides follow Pacific Salmon, residents or transients,
that are at various stages of their 2 to 7 year life cycles. using large covered
boats, you will angle the "Inside Passage". The ride is smooth, the water is
tame, and the convieniences are close at hand on Stuart Island. In addition to
salmon fishing, bottom fish for lingcod and halibut.

The Scenery
To say the scenery is spectacular is an understatment. Towering
peaks plummet into deep blue waters. There are unforgetable views of wildlife at
every turn. Some of what you might see include: grizzly; black bears, deer,
orcas, sea lions, dall's porpoises, harbor seals, star fish, eagles, glaciers,
totally undisturbed inlets, and many other coastal animals.

Yes we can offer you the opportunity to enjoy more spectacular
fishing adventures when you choose to do some Helicopter Fly Fishing. Flyfish or
spincast for numerous hookups with sea run cutthroat, dolly varden, char and the
ocassional steelhead. 3 to 5 anglers trave a short distance from the lodge to
numerous rivers and streams for a day they will not forget soon. Heli-fishing
cost about $800 US per person per day.
The Accommodations
Cedar rooms feature spacious beds and bathrooms. Enjoy the hot
tub or just sit by the firepit and sip wine. Eagles are your constant
companions.
The Dining
We feature the cooking of Stuart island's most noted chef. A
healthy breakfast is provided before you head out for the day. Light lunches are
packed for you. Dinners are first rate with much freshly caught seafood served.
Salmon Enhancement Program Beginnining in August, we like to spearhead the recovery of giant Chinook Salmon on the Phillips River. This effort supports the neighboring fish hatchery and allows you to "put something back" into the B.C. ecosystem. The Phillips River area is home to grizzly bears, black bears, eagles, wolves, deer, elk, and moose. Truly the outdoor person's dream come true.
Adventure Tours
Whether you view the whales in a guide boat or hike many natural
trails, the Stuart Island region will provide you all the wildlife adventure you
want. help your guides as they harvest clams, oysters, crabs, prawns and
mussels.
Try a 45 minute hike to Eagle Lake or take the full two-day climb
to the top of nearby Mt. Estero. At 5,400 feet above sea level, the view is
spectacular.

The Fishing
April -
June 15: is a great time for Kingcome Inlet feeder chinook. These fish are eager
takers and spectacular fighters. Avg. 12-25 pounds.
June 15 - Sept. 15:
Trophy chinook avg. 20-40 lbs with bigger ones caught. Later in the summer the
other species of salmon become more of a presence - big Northern coho, sockeye,
pinks, and chum.
April - Sept 15: Halibut, cod and other bottom fish are
available
Freshwater fishing
Chris is an accomplished fly-fisherman and will guide you to the best
spots in the area. Depending on the time of year, summer and winter steelhead,
cutthroat trout, sea-run cutthroats, dolly varden char, a few rainbow trout, and
most species of salmon can be caught with appropriate fly-fishing methods. The
mid-August to late September stream fishing for coho, pink, and chum salmon is
phonomenal.

Close to the coast and protected by maritime air,
fishing remains excellent most of the year. Chrome-bright iridescent springs (
King salmon ) are available to the angler mid-April into September. Some of the
world's largest salmon and steelhead are found in the Skeena River and it's
tributaries.
Terrace BC is located amongst a vast variety of
coastal rivers and is blessed with some of the best wild salmon and steelhead
fishing in the world.
Chinook Salmon
Also known as King
Salmon and Spring Salmon, it is the largest Pacific salmon, ranging from 20 - 80
+ pounds. In 2001, a 99 lb Chinook was caught and released in the Skeena
River.
Steelhead
Widely regarded as the
worlds best freshwater sport fish they feed and fight aggressively with long
runs and giant leaps. They'll even take a fly on the surface. Skeena steelhead
are wild natives that avg. 10-20 pounds. The Terrace area receives a summer,
winter and spring run providing almost year round fishing opportunities.
Coho Salmon
Also known as Silver Salmon, they provide fast action fishing
with powerful runs and acrobatic jumps. Fish weighing 25 lbs are not
uncommon.
Pink, Sockeye and Chum Salmon
Guests also have the opportunity to fish for these species of
salmon. Nothing like variety to ensure you will enjoy your trip with us.
Dolly Varden, Cutthroat, and Bull Trout
These wild native fish are all present year round, providing
excellent sport.

Great fishing for halibut; salmon and steelhead, yet only a 1.5 hour flight up the west coast from Vancouver. We offer 3, 4 and 7 day trips
We are located on the north coast of Graham Island which is the northern island of the Queen Charlottes. We are a six bed resort offering outstanding comforts and friendliness for your enjoyment.
We fish for the Chinook ( king ), the tackle-busting Giants of
the Pacific. The weights of these mighty fish can reach a 100 pounds. The
largest taken in our waters was a monstrous 82 pounder that was landed last
year.
The next most sought after game fish is the spirited Coho ( silver ), which can be very acrobatic when
caught on the fly. These fish can reach 25 pounds. There are also Chums (
dogs ), Pinks ( humpies ), and Sockeye ( reds ). The bottom fishing is
consistant with Halibut, Ling Cod
and many species of Rock Cod.
The fishing
We fish an area that is in the middle of the salmon's migratory route , on the
way to their natal streams. Basically it comes down to these millions of fish
must first pass the Queen Charlotte Islands.
The season: Our salmon fishing season runs from May 15th to September 15th with consistent salmon fishing during those months.

River fishing
Steelhead trout fishing on the Yakoun River is phenomenal.
Whether you want to drift or fly fish, these fish are always willing to attack
the offerings. Run after run of big `steelies' converge on the river from
November to March. We promote catch and release so this terrific fishing will be
available for many years to come.

A newly built (2001) lodge offering excellent fishing for chinook, coho, halibut, red snapper and ling cod.
We are
situated at a crossroads of the major salmon runs and consequently our guests
enjoy superb fishihg all summer long. Each year guests catch several Chinook in
excess of 50 pounds. Tops in 2001 was a nice 65 pounder. Our biggest halibut was
165 pounds in 2001. Due to the easy accessibility to the fishing grounds most
guests do not require a guide. There are guides available for an extra
fee.
The fishing
Located 425 miles nort of Vancouver in Camano Sound (across from
the Queen Charlotte islands) enables us to offer our guests a first class
fishing adventure. Out guests are always our priority. Guests fish from 17.5
foot custom-welded aluminum center console boats with 50 hp motors.
The Lodge
We offer 14 double rooms
that are luxuriously finished with private bath and separate washing areas.
Meals are included, as well as fishing suits and boots.

Offering fishing options for: rainbows; cutthroats; bull trout; kokanee salmon in Southern British Columbia in the Kootenay region. Many guests find it easiest to fly to Calgary to reach us.
We are the exclusive outfitter in a territory encompassing
approx. 600 sq. miles of pristine mountain terrain. A signigicant area of our
territory is in a restricted non-motorized part of the Purcell Wilderness
Conservancy. We restrict our trips to a max. 6 guests at a time.
If choice of fishing options interests you then have a good look at these options:
Early Spring: try ice fishing for a day at a montain lake, then 2
days on Kootenay Lake for big Gerrard rainbows (20 lbs +) and bull trouts (15
+), and a day on Arrow lake and the Columbia River for kokanee salmon and
rainbows.
Summer season (July - Sept.) could be comprised of float tube fly fishing for
Columbia River rainbows (3-10 lbs); pristine river fly fishing for native
cutthroat, heli-fishing alpine lakes for rainbows and cutts, and drifting for
Columbia River walleyes (3-10).
Prices will be per person per day starting at $325 US /day (first 2 adults, 3rd
only $125) depending on the type of fishing and gear/boats/tackle required.
Children under 14 are only $175

A typical day will include 10+ hours
of fishing for salmon and halibut. Delicious meals and of course unbelievable
scenery, and finally relaxing in our private lounge to tell your
stories.
Located on the inside coastal passage to Alaska we are surrounded by protected channels and inlets, offering the ultimate in calm waters and unforgettable scenery.
World renowned cruising waters surround us... Rivers Inlet and Hakai Pass to
the south, the Dean and Bella Coola Rivers to the east, the Queen Charlotte
Islands to the west, Alaska and Glacier Bay to the north.
Follow the
migrating salmon and experience the exhilarating excitement of a trophy
chinook/king salmon on the line. Tangle with fighting northern coho/silvers,
often running over 20 pounds, or record-size halibut and rockfish, or dive for
scallops. All bait, tackle and gear is supplied for unlimited fishing from your
yacht or from the custom fiberglass fishing boats.
We fly you directly
from the Vancouver Airport. A typical day will include 10 hours (or more) of
fishing for salmon and halibut. We provide you with accommodations and fine
food. Packages start at $1445 - $1745 US for three, four, or five day packages

Consider our all-inclusive yacht charter for four guests at $1795US per 24 hour period. Includes all meals, unlimited fishing, licenses, and professional crew. Additional guests (max. 2) are $300 US/person.

Sonora Resort is located at the mouth of the Bute Inlet, on the
